Codificadas is a celebration of the talent, creativity, and passion of women in technology. It is a regional competition that invites women of all levels to join a unique experience of collaboration, learning, and growth. At the heart of the event is a competitive programming contest aimed at identifying the Top Coder in Latin America.
The purpose is to promote and motivate the inclusion of women in the IT world, programming, and STEM, providing them with an exclusive meeting and relevance space, as well as identifying the top talent in the region.
The event includes training in competitive programming, meetings with prominent women in the IT industry and programming, testimonies from women leaders at TCS, and sessions with the champions of TCS Codevita.
Certificates for the Best Programmers in Latin America and prizes such as Xbox, tablets, AirPods, and more. Job opportunities with TCS, including internships, practices, and academic projects (according to the possibilities and regulations of each country), as well as event merchandise and visits to TCS offices.
It is an individual programming competition where you will solve logic and creativity problems by writing code. Each problem has a statement with specific conditions, and your goal is to create a program that solves it correctly. You earn points for solved problems, and a ranking is generated.
Competitive programming and hackathons are two types of events related to programming but with different approaches and objectives. Competitive programming focuses on solving algorithmic problems efficiently and in the shortest possible time. In contrast, hackathons are collaborative events where complete projects, often prototypes, are developed within a limited time frame.
In Codificadas, you will find challenges for every skill level, from beginner to advanced, organized into two categories: NextGenCoder and MasterCoder. NextGenCoder brings together non-university talent: high school students, participants in technical programming courses, and self-taught learners. MasterCoder includes active university and postgraduate students who will graduate in 2026 or later. If you're just starting, don't worry! There is space for you. You only need basic programming knowledge and the desire to learn. You don’t need to have participated in competitions before. In the Resources section, you will also find video capsules and practice exercises to help you prepare.
You don't need prior experience to participate. In the Resources section, you will find video capsules that explain step-by-step from the basics, as well as practice exercises so you can learn and improve before the competition. You only need curiosity, a desire to learn, and time to explore the available material.
Solutions are submitted on the Codeforces platform, which compiles and runs your code automatically against different test cases. If your program responds correctly within the time and memory limits, the problem is considered solved. To practice the complete flow, check the second video capsule in the resources section.
Scoring: Each problem is worth up to 100 points. You get a score proportional to the number of test cases passed correctly (unless the statement indicates another scheme). Example: if a problem has 10 cases and you pass 7, you receive 70 points. Ranking: Your total score is the sum of the points obtained in all problems. The winner is the one who accumulates the most points. Tiebreaker: If there is a tie in the score, the competitor who reached that score in the shortest time from the start of the round is better positioned.
The test cases are secret and will not be visible to the competitors. You will only see the final score of your solution. However, each problem will include input and output examples in its statement to help you understand what is expected.
You can use any programming language compatible with the Codeforces platform. These include: C++, Python, Java, C, Rust, Go, Kotlin, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, Pascal, OCaml, Perl, D, Haskell, F#, C#, and Delphi.

You can use them to help you understand concepts, generate code, optimize solutions, or solve technical questions. AI is a modern tool that you can use freely as support during the competition.
TCS will cover the travel expenses of the participants who qualify for the final. The details and scope will be informed to the finalists in due course.
The exact location and date of the in-person final will be communicated soon through our networks and by email to the qualifiers.
